These 1989 sessions were for Almo / Irving….A&M’s Publishing Company. We were hired to do some of the Shelter Music catalogue with Tom Banghart and Joe Borja producing and engineering respectively…The sessions were a blast and I had a chance to get my band “All Shook Up” into the studio….I think the idea was to pitch the tunes not our performance for possible commercial use for ads….JJ
This was 1982 if you couldn’t guess…Yes the new wave explosion and I was hired as a guitarist for a 4 song EP for Bill Green and The Lineup. This was also a blast of a session with a lot of partying and fun people…I think the session was recorded and mixed in Long Beach CA….JJ
This is a song I wrote and recorded for the great RB Greaves….He was heading into country music and at the time I was working and rehearsing at his studio Dhu-Ron Studios on Gower in Hollywood…This was around 1982 as well…a lot of fun back in those days…. that was a great studio with a lot of good musicians coming in and out….JJ
Nelson & Joe – At Chicks Place in LA – The Blues
This was in the 80’s when Nelson was the lead singer of All Shook Up…He was working for Chick Corea at the time and Nelson invited me down to the studio and one thing led to another and before you knew it we were tracking to a Dat machine…these songs really demonstrate what a tremendous singer Nelson is… a true bluesman at heart.

Whipple & James Sessions
This session was with Mike Whipple a good friend of mine from Long Beach CA around 1982…He was way ahead when it came to using midi and keyboards….he asked me to play guitar on both tracks an instrumental and another tune I co-wrote the lyrics on and played rhythm guitar….it was more of a fun jam but it’s just more stuff from the early days of my career
